Hi Guys,

Now started work on my running restoration project, a 93 RRC LSE.

When I bought it the air suspension was in hard fault mode and throwing all sorts of codes when connected to the diagnostic too. However, it would seem a Christmas miracle has happened as when I went to run the car yesterday, the air compressor sprung into life and hummed away nicely.

The car took about 20minutes to get from it's bump stops to regular ride height. From what I've read, people suggest that it should take 5-10 minutes to get the car to its normal height after complete discharge. Would a 20 min lift time suggest that the compressor is getting tired or could that be considered acceptable?

Now for the strange bit. I keep the battery disconnected so as not to drain it between runs or risk the alarm going off when I'm away on work. Today when I connected it up and ran the car, the compressor didn't come on at all. Yet if I disconnect and reconnect the battery a few times the compressor will kick into life again. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before and, if so, what turned out to be at fault (if anything).

Cheers Guys, and happy holidays.

Alex :)
