Disco 2 Stiff to get out of 1st

I just went out to move the Disco. Before I started it I went to take it out of 1st and it wouldn’t budge. Clutch in and out a couple of times and then I could move it but it took a bit of force. Tried all gears and it was randomly tight going into 1st and 5th. Fluid is fine with no leaks. New clutch about 25k ago. The spigot bush has made a racket on start up since the new clutch but goes away very quickly. Any thoughts ??

Hi, Did you renew the spigot bush when you did the clutch? I have heard that a defective one can cause selection problems because it keeps the gears spinning.

I think so, but can’t be sure as it was a while ago. I’ve got a full clutch replacement kit, including flywheel in the garage, so that’s not an issue. It’s the fact it was stuck in 1st without the engine even running that got me.
