Sticky Problem!

Can anyone help me with my sticky problem. I recently bought my TD4 Freelander ES (2001 on a 51 plate) and i must say its in fine condition apart from the dash above the passenger airbag. The previous owner had glued his sat nav holder on to it and it is stuck fast.
I am reluctant to try and prise it off or use any kind of solvent in case i cause damage to the dash board or the air bag.Can this part of the dash be replaced or is it part of the air bag unit?

Warm it up gently with a hot air gun / hairdryer. You'll probably find that it will peel off without damage then. Just don't do mad with the heat. (Your dash is designed to withstand sunlight through glass on a hot day, so you can get it pretty hot).
Any sticky residue can then be removed with WD40 and a coarse cloth.
