did as most do gave it a spray of wd no joy
took out the barrel cleaned it thoroughly with brake cleaner, gave it a blow dry and then lubricated it with lock graphite powder, quite a bit of fiddling later working in the graphite and it is now perfect
big up to proper lock graphite
had to get it from a lock smiths though
they also said they use gt85

Thanks for sharing that tip.
At a push, electrical switch cleaner or Isopropanol will work to clear the ****e out....always finish up with a blow job

followed with the graphite powder. No need to go mad with it (Graphite powder !!!!)

my v reg lock is also dodgy I shall be doing the same to that one hope fully it will fix that one 2
it's a pain ****ing around try to get it to pop out so it doesn't register the key in all the time
