Back on line after two weeks....
Having passed the annual inspection with only two advisors, I decided to get them sorted before returning to work. A new copper washer sorted the oil leak and new pan hard rod bushes cured the steering wobble.
However, whilst fitting the refreshed pan hard rod I had to loosed off the torsion bar (attached to chassis and steering pump) to line the holes up without additional pressure. I found that the two smaller bolts that fix the torsion bar to the front of the steering pump were not as they should be: one was loose enough not to make any difference and the other only needed a gentle push with a spanner to loosen!
I intend to replace the small bolts with ones that will take a 17mm socket and fit tab washers. This was a potential disaster waiting to happen.
