Evening all,

A few years ago my windscreen leaked and water dripped over the steering wheel and down into the gap between the wheel and the cowling. The horn started sounding continually so I took out the fuse. The radio controls didn't work. After a few days it dried out and all was well.
I fixed the leak until two weeks ago when a few drips hit the gap again. Horn went off-I removed the fuse and the radio controls messed up. However this time when I replaced the fuse the horn doesn't work and the radio controls are not working correctly.
I assume there is some sort of contact system with tracks between the wheel and the indicator shroud. I'm thinking of spraying a bit of contact cleaner if I can get access.

Any advice would be most welcome (I know I should have repaired the leak better) as I have an MOT due in about 5 weeks.

Cheers

Steve

Quick update-

It wasn't the steering wheel controls-the horn is kaput-must have burnt out-did smell like it was burning when I pulles the fuse.

Cheers
