Disco 2 Steering Knuckle Ball Joints

Can anyone recommend a decent kit to get the steering knuckle ball joints out? Would the same kit push the new ones in or do I need another tool for that?

This is the sort of thing I used, it wasn't brilliant but it did the job. I had to make some different spacers to press evenly when pushing the new ones in.
Think I wouldn't want to try doing another batch with the same tool, it suffered a bit.

Almost bought this one to do mine but ended up selling the d2 and buying a gaylander 2 instead.
Highly recommended buy my nephew who is a very skilled mechanic. Lots of local garages wont touch the knuckles as they need to buy a decent kit to change them.

Neilsen kit is the one, similar to the Cromwell one. I have one ready to tackle my ball joints this summer, like this

+1 and you might also want to consider the Neilsen CT1949 which has a full set of cups and adapters.

I modified one of those simple G clamp kits by making up spacers to do the removal and refitting. I found that heat was also a necessary thing to aid the removal of the old swivel joints. I'm lucky in the fact that my day job is repairing vintage motorcycles so have a lathe and oxyacetylene to heat the sockets in the axle. It was the first new set the car had and contrary to all the horror stories I'd been told it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought. Oh, another essential tip for using the G clamp tool is always use plenty of oil on the threads.
