Hi all, a few years back I got a steering guard from a disco at a breakers yard. I fitted it to my 98 tdi and it fitted fine as you would expect. When I sold the old girl, I took it off and kept it.
I've just been out trying to remember how the brackets fit onto the chassis so I can fit it to my current disco (96 tdi), and it looks as though the holes in the brackets (the ones which the chassis bolts go through),are about 10mm further apart than the holes on the disco. Very odd. So unless I'm mistaken the steering guard will fit some discos and not others? and I will have to get busy with the pillar drill.
