steering grunt

Hi, Had a few issues with my steering which changing the fluid sorted most of them out, but I get a grunting from appear to be behind the steering wheel when turning from one side to the other, gentle steering is ok but for example coming off drive with a fair bit of lock you get the noise. Any ideas when to look? and no I don't want to drive gently before you suggest that!!

HAve you checked the steering stop lock bolt protrusion? MIne were well out and stretching the rack a bit.
