Morning all,

I have a loud clunk on the drivers side of my car when turning the wheel from left to right.

I had a look yesterday it's the drag link ball joint.

It'll need replacing which is fine, I've been through the RAVE procedure, and it looks fairly straight forward. I have a ball joint splitting tool already. If anyone has done this on their P38, are there any pitfalls to look out for when replacing it?

Should I do them both whilst I'm under there? And the track rods too?

Does anyone know who the OEM supplier was? I don't want to use Britpart, but I don't want to spend LR prices if i can help it.

Many thanks,

Al.

One end of each rod, N/S track rod and drag link cannot be changed. You would need a complete unit. If you fit a new track rod, tracking MUST be done first before you adjust new draglink. There is a set procedure for doing this, see RAVE for details. It MUST be done correctly. Lemforder are OEM. See Island 4x4. When replacing track rod adjust length of new to same length as old, TRE thread to TRE thread. Same with drag link. Have tracking done then adjust drag link as per RAVE. If required.
