Hi ,My steering box seems to have developed a large dribble of fluid which deposits it`s self where ever i go. It`s from the drop arm shaft into box. After a lot of searching have discovered there are 3 types of box a 3 , 4 and six bolt. Mine has the six bolt (Gemmer Box), However there seems to be more 4 bolt around than six bolt. My question is if a 4 bolt will fit on a 90 , can it be fitted to my 110 or is there some strange reason why not.
Can someone offer any advice.
Thanks

should be a straight swap for a 4 bolt. iirc the pipework is the same for a 4 bolt but not a 3 bolt as the threads are different. use the 4 bolt drop arm aswell as i think the 6 bolt one is different.

I think its good to leak a bit outside of peoples houses etc. Used to be the norm you know! Providing you have another leak else where then think its fine to fix it.

My preference is steering box leak over the more common engine oil leak. Low steering oil can normally be spotted by a whine giving the heads up...where as an engine although rattling slightly more just goes bang! Bastard!

The 4 bolt boxes are better, much stronger units - probably why there are more about - dump the 6 bolt and get the 4.
