Starts 3rd time EVERY time ? ? ?

Hi all,

i am still on with my starting problem on the TD4.

I have now noticed if you turn it continously it eventually starts BUT if you give it 2 quick cranks .... it then starts 3rd time.. EVERY TIME?!?!?

Summary:
First start of the day is first time as long as i give the glowplugs 3 clicks.

once warm it only starts 3rd time i try.

if i turn and turn it, it eventually starts, seems to be when i hear the click from under the steering column area.

Any ideas?

try this earthling. . .switch on ignition[yep i know its a doosle] put yer hand on the lift pump [rhs in engine bay] and you should feel the pump vibrate fer bout 15 sec ,then stop , try this sevral times,if its not consistant then change the fuel pump relay[this drives both rear and front pumps] the time out is for pump pressure , also check to see if yer fuel filter has been changed recent. . . .un best of luck. . . .
