Stage one cylinder head & carb jetting

Hi all,
New to this forum, any advice would be welcome.
I have a 1982 SWB series 3 2.25 petrol fitted with a stage one unleaded head & a webber carb. She runs ok but I feel the engine could be a bit smoother on accelaration? The carb has standard jets, are there any jetting mods I should do to the carb?

It might be better to fit a zenith carb as I believe it has a larger venturi. I've heard people say that the webber carb is good for economy because it strangles the performance. Reckon their hi torque cam shafts are worth it at all?
