Hi I had SRS light on Freelander TD4 2002 about a year ago the garage checked it and said the connector was off and reconnected it and light stayed off for 6 months. Its now on again and MOT due soon so checked airbag and the yellow connector in the steering wheel had disconnected (fitting was loose) so we reconnected it and taped it but light still on on dash... do I now need to get fault wiped from computer and if so how do I do it? Thanks :)

you need to take it to a garage with a code reader/fault clearer my freelander passed its test with the srs light on but now apparently the regulations have changed and its part of mot check (mine is still on by the way)

disconnecting the battery for and hour should reset Airbag ECU,
you should also check the safety-belt pre-tensor's connections under the seats

I tried that several times didn't seem to work for me I also cleaned up all the air bag connectors to no avail
