My SRS Light has been on on my 2005 Freelander TD4 for a few months now. In my recent MOT the guy told me the horn is not working, still passed MOT thou.

So I did a bit of research which resulted in me changing the Rotary Coupler (behind the airbag and steering wheel) and the horn now works, but the SRS Light is still on. I have been able to turn off the SRS Light by playing about with the pretensioner socket under the passenager seat, but once the seat is moved it comes back on again - so I assume it's a faulty pretensioner, or at least faulty conector.

Can someone tell me is the pretensioner the same on pre-2004 Freelanders? There's lots of pre-2004's on eBay but sourcing a 2004< is impossible, so can I use a pre-2004 pretensioner on my 2005 Freelander.

Does it have a part number on it? When they change parts they normally re-number them, and advise if the updated part can be fitted as an upgrade of the old part.
