The small diameter plastic pipe that runs from the top of the rad to the header tank split, on the motorway of course, and i lost a large amount of water before I managed to pull over. Temp went to the middle of the hot zone on gauage so hoepfully I havn't trashed engine and will get the dredded liner problem.
The pipe looked fine from above but upon removing it the underside where the pipe runs around the battery was all corroded and pitted. Battery acid damage? Anyone else seen this?
Any way managed to gaffer tape the think together and get to a friends house, though still weeping water.
Does anyone know if this part is avaible and a part number or is it better to replace with suitable rubber hose rather than a hose & plastic combinartion as original?
