Thought I would do a write up of this incase it is any use to anyone. I was going to get the T-MAXX one, but it seemed like quite a lot of money for what you got, and I wanted to guarantee the ratings on cables etc.. Please point out if I have got anything wrong
I'm about 1/2 way through so far.
So I started with a Durite 140A voltage sensing relay, 2m of 110A red cable, 1m of 110A black cable, 2 strip fuse holders, some 80A strip fuses, a couple of battery terminals, and loads of the eyelet terminal things.
In total it has cost me about £65, but the relay was £40 of that.
I'm just working out where everything will go. I bought an optima yellow top, then realised that it wouldn't fit in the battery box with the current battery, so I have had to buy a red top as well
To make them both sit flat in the battery box I made a platform out of some left over stable matting that I used to line the back. The cutouts on the bottom are so the drain holes still work. Not the tidiest job, but it looks fine when fitted!
Now the batteries sit nice and flat
Next job is to make a bracket to hold them in place, and then fit it all in.
