Found an old steering wheel in the garage, think it's off a Spitfire, got Triumph on the rubber boss anyway

Will it fit the 90? will it fook, hole where splines are too big:(

So I got the boss out that I bought two years ago and never used and trouble was that it lifted the wheel about three inches proud of the cowling and would have been very uncomfortable.

Decided to cut it down and weld it together

Pics should show what I mean,,,,,should look good when its done:cool:

I'll nip out and get a pic of the wheel:)

Well ,, got it done today, indicators cancel perfect and wheel in straight ahead position ok.

Not cleaned it yet though, might get the solvol out

Steering a little heavier but wheel is about inch and a half smaller so expected that.

You may notice that I had to cut a hole in the Triumph cover, this was because I wanted the wheel as close to the column as possible for comfort. turned out well I thought, just have to look for a suitable centre cap.

Need to get dash sorted out now then interior will do for a while:)
