Hi all
Im new to this forum and after some advice and recommendations.
I have a 2001 defender TD5 pickup and have been spending some time to make it how i want it.
Whilst completing all the cosemtic parts ie powder coating ect i was having one last clean of the chassis drive train area and to my horror found well covered up excessive rust/holes in the rear cross member and at point where the rear cross member is welded to the chassis legs.
The chassis legs look good only slight surface rust and small amount of rust at the coil spring top mounts but nothing bad.
Which supplier would be recommended for replacement cross member ?
Would i be better buying replacement cross member with short or long extentions does this make a difference with access issues ?
Any tips or advice in doing the job would be greatly received.
