Greetings from sunny Perthshire:D......anyhoo, have a chance of buying a Soft Top for my Freelander BUT there are bits missing from it:eek: namely the 2 'catches' either side that fit the roof onto the car brackets......dont really know 2 much about these or able 2 go & look at a Soft Top fitted to another car so my question is...........can i simply 'make' some sort of clips or is it best to have the proper ones

Average prices new for these are around £38 each.....chances of finding them 2nd hand would be zilch i think......

Best thing about said top is it is in great condition & fairly local BUT its the missing bits that worry me....

Cheers :)

if its the 2 lower corner clamps that are missing 1 is available from LR dealers other is unavailable until at least september, none to be had anywhere, as far as i am aware the roof cannot to correctly fitted without them,

Hi, think it is the 2 clamps that go thru the brackets that are already fitted as standard on all Freelanders on the car frame.....codes are DUM500020PMD & DUM500030PMD

As i said, expensive to buy new & i think non existant 2nd hand unless i'm lucky

I really dont think its worth the hassle of buying the hood, no matter how good the condition is...these bits are either too expensive (would probably push the cost overall for everything to £200)...and non existant 2nd hand.....

Cheers
