Disco 300 tdi
194k regular servicing
Smokes on tickover once warmed up but not from cold
All filters oil changed on frequent basis.

No smoke during normal driving?

Smoke is noticed by others!!!

black smoke wont be your turbo but means running rich and unburnt fuel.blue smoke could be turbo but could also mean blocked breathers,wrong grade of oil,worn valve guides or piston rings.

Nobody has been at your fuel delivery screw have they? but like dent and colinl stated need to know colour of smoke.

Smoking is now in clouds when pulling away Blue/white in colour.

Checked intercooler & all pipework some oil present ;
breather pipes clear.

Other forums suggest a compression test & likely head gasket.
This was changed 94k miles ago ,approx 5 years are they realy that much of a consumable!!!
