Smell of burning..

Wife just came back with the D2 and told me it smells of burning. Just popped out and checked and indeed there is an 'electrical' type smell coming from the rear of the car- noticeable outside only. Everything seems to working as normal but I've yet to get at it and check which I'll be on first thing in the morning...

Any ideas out there? Apart from buy something Japanese

What he said. Or try checking a caliper isn't ceased. Or wires for the rear bumper lights haven't fallen onto the exhaust.

Ha, ha, ha...

I'm leaning towards the 'Chinese' replacement fuel pump - second replacement. I'll get on it after breakfast.

Calipers are fine, I changed all the discs/calipers/pads before Xmas - no problems there.

Or hole in top of exhaust melting underseal
