. . . a light around the ignition switch?

As the P38 is still new to me, I'm having trouble getting the key in when it's dark. It seems as if it should, with the translucent green circular insert, but I've taken the shroud off and what looks like a bulb holder won't come out. I didn't want to force it as I know there's the key/alarm sensor in there.

(Can't find any ref to this in manual or rave either)

TIA Alastair

Yes green ring should light up when car is unlocked, goes of when key is put in. Look in electrical trouble shooting manuals >interior lights.

Aah - it starts to become clear, Thankyou wammers, I found it in the ETM.
I'd only taken the top of the shroud off and the bit I thought was the bulb holder is actually the key switch, just as well i didn't force it. Eventually found a pic of the switch, the sleeve for the bulb is underneath, I'll revisit tomorrow.

Thanks - Alastair
