Series II or Series III Question.

Hello again folks..

Silly question but I'd like to know,, If on my log book my Lightweight is down as being manufactured in 1971 does this make it a Series II or S3...?

The chassis no is a more accurate way of telling.

Its a light-weight, so I thought the dead easy way to tell if II or III was whether the lights were on the wings, 'cos that only came in on SIII Air-portables..... but I may be wrong!

Back in the 70s when Lightweights first started getting released, it was very common to convert them to Series III type lights, so probabaly a very unreliable way of identifying them.
