Series and 90 chassis rails

Was wondering if series and early 90 chassis rails are the same dimensions.

Dimensions as in width and depth, want to weld a series back end/crossmember on to 90 chassis.......cause its cheap

It should fit ok as the Chassis rails are the same with (75mm/3") and the rails are the same distance apart.
