Hi All,
I have an ex army 90 fitted with a tilt that I am going to change to a hardtop, I have got a good rear door which is of a series 111 , my problem is that I have no idea how or where the slam plate is fitted on the rear tub, I would be very gratefull if anyone can kindly take a picture or two for me of theirs so that I can see what is required. Im aware that this is the wrong forum for a 90 but it is the series door lock info that only you guys have that I need.
Many thanks in advance for any info given.

Might be an idea to put a new door latch/lock to suit. Hope that helps a wee bit;) :D

Thanks Bustersbus That has helped a great deal, the plate that I have on the back tub where the slam plate fits is the same as your picture 4, whats the difference between that and the new one that you have in pictures 5 & 6 ? do'es it move the face of the plate that everything bolts to further out ? as the plate I have would need 10mm of packing under the slam plate for it to clear the rubber door seal ?

Nae probs mate;)
There's no difference between the two plates, except one has the catch stuck back on so it doesn't get lost. The newer looking one was from pic 3, just rubbed back and painted. Again the catches were put back on so's they wouldn't get lost and to keep me right for when ah come to change me back door.
Ah don't think you'll have to pack it out too much as the newer type lock sits in a bit like this....

where as the old type doesn't....

;) :D

Thanks again mate, at least now I can see roughly where everything is meant to go but I think I may get the same striker kit that you have as they are less prone to bursting open as the body flex'es when off road.
Again many thanks for going to the trouble of taking the pictures for me, its been a great help. :D
