Selling my winch

Sorry if this is not allowed but I am after some advice on 1 the price i should ask and 2 the best place to advertise/sell it.

i have a HD winch and bumper with a 3ton steel cable and the gearbox mounting for it. all in good working order the bumper could do with cleaning and painting. I have been told its a rare winch and I should be asking £800 for it but I have seen ones a lot cheaper than that new.

£800 sounds about right for a working pto driven winch. The trouble is most peop!e seem to prefere lecky winches and series owners with overdrives cant fit them unless the remove the overdrive.

Put it on ebay and let it find its value in the auction.

If it is driven by pto then it probably isn’t much use without the pto and all the mounts and shafts?
Has it got everything with it?

yeah its everything, it was working when taken off and I have all the parts for it still so bolts, mounts and shafts. Also its actually 3.5tonnes not 3.

And have you removed the lump bolted in to the transfer case?
If yes I assume you have the standard parts to replace them?

yeah I have the parts to replace. this was bought as a project the whole defender was "flat packed" im in the process of rebuilding it. my plan was to put this back on but unfortunately circumstances have changed and I need to sell it.

All complete you should get good money. If you are on facebook might be worth seeing if there is a group of winchers?
Otherwise, auction.
