In what way are you having trouble?.

Dum-dum is a great sealant, and IMO less hassle than silicone (mainly
because it doesnt have a long drying time, and partly because it
doesnt care about moisture!)

Either roll it into a big 'sausage' and put it in place before pushing
the window on top of it, or spread it with a knife, and use your
fingers where necessary!
Like silicone, if you keep wetting your fingers before touching it, it
wont stick to you as much.

Yes, Windscreen sealant, comes in a handy tube for a caulking gun.
