My 300tdi's passenger side front bearing decided to die on the way home on Friday as I heared the scraping sound and had a bit of snatching to the left from the steering.
The really frightning part was that when i put my foot on the brake it started pushing back....thump thump thump.

Also the brakes have been getting steadily worse over the last couple of weeks.

Any thoughts ?

if yer bearin's shot, the hub could be wobblin, which may have damaged yer disc and / or caliper.
best strip it all down and check everything carefully.

Gotcha if the hub was wobblin the front pads would have been pushed back towards the caliper making the brakes crap.

Inner bearing was completely f**ked as in the metal surrounding had all been ground away leaving the inner part on the stub axle.Luckily the reminants of the bearing came off the axle this time.
2 new bearings tightened up correctly with a load of grease all sorted.

Thanks to BOOMERV8 for popping down to help me with my rear shocks !
