As far as i can see it only partially supports the potentially faulty weld, & if it does fail what would stop the whole lot rotating, and ripping everything to bits ? Rob

Nothing, but surely it's better to have it fitted to try and stop the weld fracturing in the first place.
Better than the thing potentially falling off if you don't.

Yep it is ----- ALL affected vehicles should get po47 ie A FULL AXLE CASING CHANGE its their error not the customer
