RR vogue central locking

Hi all, newbie to this site and would really like your help and advice.
RR 2005 vogue TD6, I've put a new battery on after the old one was ready for the skip, and now my key fob won't sinc with the car. Plus the key will only open the drivers door when put into the lock but when I open the door the alarm goes off. Only way to turn alarm off is to put keys into the ignition. I've taken car to a place where they pre program the fob to the car. Unfortunately for some reason they could not program it. So I'm really stuck on what to do next.

Battery has been disconnected incorrectly. Alarm is active. Fob cannot be synced until alarm is switched off. Read your owners manual to see how to go about this.

This is all i can find in rave if it helps. BBUS is battery back up sounder
Emergency Disarming
If the alarm has been triggered and cannot be disarmed with the driver's door lock or the remote handset, it can be
disarmed with the ignition switch as follows:
1 Use the ignition key to unlock the driver's door.
2 Sit in the vehicle and ensure all the doors are closed.
3 While the BBUS is still sounding, put the ignition key in the ignition switch and turn it to position I. The alarm LED
stays on instead of flashing.
4 After 10 minutes, the BBUS stops sounding, the alarm LED goes off, the locking system unlocks and the
immobiliser is made inactive.
Emergency disarming is configurable in the BCU.
