After suffering from rough running above 2500 revs and on steep hills, decided to investigate

TD5 has covered 165000 miles and never had any problems running wise

1. Swapped out the injector harness for another genuine one
2. Cleaned the red plug at the ECU - a little oil there but not much, none inside the ecu.
3. Cleaned the MAP sensor on the manifold and also swaped out the MAF sensor.

Although this helped a little, it didn't cure the rough running.
Dropped the Disco off yesterday for MOT and service (free service) and was contacted a few hours later as the Disco had broken down on the test drive prior to MOT.
I had it receovered back home and found that no fuel was being pumped to the filter and new filter was dry.
Power checked to the pump and 12v supply, couldn't hear the pump running with the ignition on.
Bit the bullet and bought a genuine pump (£250 lighter for that experience)
Purged fuel lines as per RAVE and all good again.
Test drive confirms no more lumpy running.
So drop off for MOT take 2.
