Hi to my surprize my cross member on my 51 plate td5 is completly rotten which i only found out about when i tried to jack her up useing the high lift jack in the jacking point in the rear cross member.Its now at the garage for the new cross member to be fitted cost £500 ouch.Anybody else had this problem on a 2001 defender.i dont no weather to sell it when i get it back or just pump as much waxoyl into the chasis as possible and hope it keeps the rust at bay.
