Hello again, I've managed to rip the roof lining in my 1998 Disco (300) and I'm thinking about replacing it with one which I've seen in the breakers yard. I've seen nothing in the Haynes manual about what to do or how to do it. Any advice or web site links on what to do?

Cheers guys!

search mantamads site for leaking sunroof guide, its about resitting the sunroof but it points you in the right direction for getting the head liner out :p

pretty much undo all the bits that clamp it to the ceiling. You'll find screws under a couple of panels, behind the rainroof winders, and under caps in the grab handles.
You'll need to pull out the plastic pegs securing the upper rear plastic panels.
You'll need to pull off the B pillars (refer to the sunroof guide as daza says).
You'll need to pull off the rear trim plastic (it just pulls off on my TD5), and then remove the plastic pegs holding the back up.

As Mr Haynes likes to say, refitting is the reverse etc etc etc

My headlinging in my 300 series was sagging and in a terrible state. Especially after tracing a water leak. It has twin sunroof and rear air con so a bit of a nightmare to find a replacement.

I removed the headlining, removed the material and scrubbed the adhesion foam of the hard fibre board.

Once I left it to dry, I sparayed it with matt black auto paint. The finish was faultless.

It looks brilliant after being refitted! and my friends think it is way better.

Good luck with what ever way you choose.
