I've acquired a set of four new wheels and new tyres at the best
possible price (!)...

The tyres are 205 wide. The wheels are 7J and look a bit wide for the
tyre. Are they too big or will they fit OK?

Michelin list the acceptable rim width range for a 205R16 as being 5 to
7 inches. 7J is the width of the standard RRC alloys (NTC1346 etc) which
take 205R16s.

ditto steel wheels on the disco - and yes, the tyres look too narrow, but
they do fit.
