i have a rover214sli and the idle speed is sitting somewhere between 1000-
2000 even after being driven for some time could anyone tell me how to adjust
please

This must be a Freelander? I didn't know they fitted such a small petrol
engine to it though.

Of course they don't actually. Perhaps you should repost to a relevant
newsgroup ;-)
