Morning all,
Just had the rear crossmember replaced and now the reversing light fuse keeps blowing. Any ideas before I take it back please? Thanks, Cliff.

Note the word "inside" . Wiring loom has to be disconnected from the lights and then pushed up inside the chassis leg away from where welding is needed. A length of plain wire is attached to loom so it can be pulled back into place when every thing is cooled. That is the correct way to do the job. It may be just a wrong connection some where. Take it back to repairer.

Depending on what model defender you have but I am sure on my TD5 the reverse wire and fog light cables run on the top of the chassis rail with a plug socket half way along, (can be swapped round for right or left hand drive)
the plug socket may be disconnected or cable damaged.

Took the Landry back to the garage, turns out they had fitted replaced the bulb holders and didn't have any genuine ones in stock, so had used cheaper aftermarket ones. They fitted genuine ones and she's right now. Thanks for all the replies though. Cliff.
