My landy (02 TD5) has just developed a new problem and is suffering again. When im in reverse and just letting her coast with foot on the clutch she has a tendancy to judder to a hault and want to go forward again!!! If I let the clutch out and give it a foot full of gas seems to be alright.
The gearbox has been gernerally unhappy for the last 10,000 miles so im guessing its something to do with the layshaft bearings as its also just started to make a shreeking noise when taking up power.
However I'm just wondering if there is anything else I should be checking out - transfer box, diffs etc before I part with several hundred quid for a new gearbox?
