Before I waste several hours of my life looking for how to do this does
anyone know what to do once the batteries have been changed on the key
for, pretty please

Dave

Dave --

You don't have to do anything! I've always replaced the batteries (I
assume you've done that OK) and then gone ahead and used the fob. You
may need to press it a few times so that the 'security code' system
adjusts itself, but it should work fine.

Strange things Range Rovers, I just put some new batteries in last
night and it owrked straight away lke you said, however, whereas before
the indicators used to flash once to unlock and once but for slightly
longer to lock, now it flashes 3 times to unlock, How strange!!!

Well i did wonder that briefly last night, but then thought that surely
that was far too advanced for a 12 year old vehicle. It must have
appeared quite advanced at the time!

What with heated mirrors, heated washers and windows that go up and
down when you press little buttons it's a very advanced car for me.

5 years ago I still had the series 3 as my daily driver and had no
heater and sliding windows - lovely.

I think I need an owners manual for this car, as the indicators only
worked once while locking since i've had it (9 months), i thought
that's the way they all were. What a numpty i am!

Of course -- it IS the way of telling you your batteries are fading.
I'd forgotten.

I can thoroughly recommend the LR Classic Parts CD for the RRC. Not
only the Owners Handbooks (86-87 & 88-89... What happened to the later
ones? I don't know how different these are because I still have the
original for my 93, so I've never looked at them), but also the Parts
Manuals, Service Manuals and Electrical Trouble Shooting Manuals.

All in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, and costing something ridiculous like
20 quid (?). I spent over £100 for the Service and Electrical manuals
in hard copy form, and then the latter was for the wrong model and
confused me in certain places.

I think the part no is LHP2, from franchised dealers (and others?).
Others for other models.

Thanks for that, mind you, I might just leave it and see what other
"surprises" she has in store!

Thanks again
