I have an 02 Disco 2 TD5 and have had a few problems with the ACE system (yellow light, redlight and warning pings) the dealer has offered to do away with the ace system and replace with standard anti roll bars for me (under warranty) can anyone tell me if they have done this and any pro's and cons??

Thanks,

I've ran mine for 7 years with no problems, surely if the dealer is going to replace under warranty then they should replace whatever is wrong with the ACE under warranty, rather than just taking it out.

Apparently if you get rid of the ACE you get rid of the problems associated with it so as DisTD5co said it would probably be good to get shot of it.

The dealer told me they can look into it but find it just has more problems later so they are doing alot more Anti roll bar conversions now.

How i look at it is yea it maybe good but you dont need it series 1 disco's didnt have it not all td5 disco's have it. what happens when its repaired. then your warrenty runs out then you have to fork out to get it fixed. it works out exspensive and you look back and think i wish i had gone with those standard anti-roll bars. Its up to you personally if i had it and i broke it fit nornal anti-roll bars and forget about it. Dan
