Yes, blow torch, extractor tool (See RAVE) or similar, alignment tool, new axle halfshaft seal, prayer mat and a bottle of valium tablets. I have the extractor & alignment tools....the rest is on prescription.:behindsofa::behindsofa:

do not use heat find some one with proper tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You still need heat on the axle yoke even with the proper tool. The joints tend to get a little bit rusted and no end of soaking with plus gas etc. will shift them. A local main stealer has fecked up about three of the "Proper Tools" where the mechanic did not warm them up first. The old ball joints are scrap any way. The new ones go in ok with the proper tool, without heat after the bores have been lightly polished to remove the crap and lightly oiled.
The lower ball joint has to be adjusted to centralise the hub carrier with the axle oil seal with the alignment tool otherwise the oil seal will not last 5 minutes.

Forgot to add......best to replace both joints whilst you are at it....they are cheap enough.
