Hello all, I've been away a while so good to be back. I'd left car standing for 2 months, battery disconnected. The night I got back I put the battery on a home charger to top it up and in the morning the car started on the button, EAS was fine, brakes ABS fine, no warnings and drove away smoothly! Was I happy, well not initially I kept expecting something to blow up but no, made it home after a half hour drive with a big smile on my face! I wuv my wangie!
The interior really needs a bit of a cleanup though so thought I'd start with the doorpads and ABC pillar covers. Those were easy enough to prize off and clean up with a bit of carpet foam. On the pads, the decorative insert below the grab handle (the bit with the mid speaker) the netty fabric has sagged. I was able to just peel it off but I find the actual insert seems to be glued very firmly to the rest of the pad? Anyone managed to get it off without major surgery? For the time being I've masked it off and hit it with a matt black spray which looks ok but as mine was an SE without leather or wood on the doors I was thinking of covering in leather and upgrading a bit if I can.
Cheers!
