Just back from running the missus to the local hospital (nothing too serious though )
When I unlocked the car to go there the drivers door didn't unlock with the remote ( all other doors did ) - I had to use the key to open and to lock it again at the hospital and again on getting home
Seeing as how it's late and I'm knackered and cant be arsed searching, what's that all about then ?

I bet its a failed door lock. If its anything like mine was the other side will be sure to follow sooner rather than later. You will need to get a new one in ASAP because if for any reason you needed to input the EKA code you would be a bit fooked.

Try it again in the morning and see if its still not working then. Lock and unlock a few times with the remote (dont superlock) and see if it moves at all. If you push the button down when inside the vehicle do the other locks respond??

If you dont want to shell out for a new latch then you can strip them down and grease everything up inside and make sure everything is ok but its better to replace it in the long run.

Wills - popped out just now quickly (it's peeing down here ) It's not only the drivers door, it's the front passenger door as well
Sitting in the car if I push the drivers button up or down none of the locks move
If I push the passenger button down all of the doors lock except the drivers door
Both the back doors and the tail gate open/close as normal with the remote but neither of the front doors
I'll pop the door cards off the front doors at the weekend if it's dry and see what the crack is
What parts will I need or will a good clean/lubrication sort it ?

I would try stripping the latch/lock and give it a good clean and lubrication and see what happens. Its strange that they have both gone at exactly the same time, usually when these sorts of posts appear one fails a few weeks after the other. What happens if you manually lock the car with the key, do all the other doors responsd ok??

i would have thought it the central locking motor unit! its dont send a signal to other doors, or act when told to lock!
maybe connection come away?

On a serious note - I went shopping today cos I got rained off and the door locks are still acting up
I think the problem may be on the passenger front door as the button seems to be sitting squint - The drivers door actually locked once today with the remote, the passenger door refuses to lock and the two rear doors lock fine with the remote
If I manually lock the drivers door from the button then the rear doors respond but passenger front doesn't
I will have a look tomorrow if it ever stops raining :(
Oh - don't know if it's connected but on opening the door at some point today it triggered the alarm and message centre said "engine immobilized, push remote button ", or something similar - this has never happened before since I bought the car - is it related ?
