Recon engine and Diff,sound like a ex "tow wagon?"

A mate has a H reg Hi capacity pick up for sale,its covered 155000 miles with a "complete engine rebuild",its rear diff has been replaced and he wants £2800 for it.Sounds to me like its done some serious towing and to me a complete engine rebuild means new bearings/seals,pistons,rings,valves,head trued,new pipes etc.Is he asking to much or am I picking nits?
Also after that many miles the gear box is likely to be on its last legs to eh?

depends which engine is in it - i think H reg was transistion between the TD and Tdi

200tdi he reckons?What do you think of the asking price,its fairly straight panel wise,chassis and bulk head sound.But £2800?
