Recon engine advice please

We have a 13 year old Freelander 2.0 diesel which has had a catastrophic engine failure. Overheated due to undetected water leak (it was being driven by a friend in Spain), engine has had complete melt down. We want to try to source a reconditioned engine in the UK to take out there in a few weeks time (spare parts in Spain v expensive). Can anyone recommend a good reconditioned engine dealer/website? All quotes we've had so far are for used, not recon. Thanks.

Avoid searle as had several bad engines and heads that motor factors stopped selling them
