I have a 2004 D3 with 106k miles with a bunch of common problems. It leaks (drains cleaned a few times over the years, but apparently now are perishing); it has intermittent electrical problems (eg, remote locks don't work) which I think are down to water.
My local LR folks have given up, and my other favourite local garage has backed off, saying it should go to an LR dealer. But it's worth no more than £5k, so I can't believe doing that will be worth it. It's perfect for my needs, and I'd much prefer to restore it and keep running it, but I have neither time nor skills to do it myself. Can anyone recommend an independent shop that would take on a proper fix of the leaking? Don't mind travelling.
