I'm having an issue with my freelander where the rear wiper and rear window stopped working (seems to be fairly common after reading some of the threads).
Recalibrating the window sorts the window out, but as soon as you flick the switch on the rear wiper it stops everything working again as if it's somehow shorting it. I've had 3 different mechanics and an auto electrician have a look and no one has been able to resolve it yet.
When it was hooked up to the computer for diagnostics, the window said it was calibrated, and the rear wiper said it was parked correctly, but when you forced the window to move up or down with the computer it did move, but the numbers indicating it's position didn't change. Recalibrate the window and that part works fine again, the position indicators on the computer change as expected until you hit the switch for the rear wiper when it all seems to go to pot again.
The rear wiper motor has been changed (albeit to a second hand one) as has the ECU to no avail, but everyone seems to be running out of ideas now so if anyone on here can help i'd be really grateful as it's been broken for over a year now!
