Rear wiper on 02 Freelander

Hi, on my freelander, when you turn off the rear wiper or open the back door, the rear wiper normally drops to a level position on the back door, it has suddenly stopped doing this but the wiper still works!!! can anyone help please

its either lost the ignition feed to the motor or the motor is faulty, usually it's the motor that fails. Try operating the tail window using the switch, chances are it wont work. This because the park switch in the wiper motor is ****ed and the ccu thinks the wiper is on and wont let you operate the tail window.
