Freelander crazy

last weekend when we had that wonderful weather while driving my freelander my rear windscreen wiper wasn’t parking properly then when I turned it off it carried on continuously then stopped completely not to work again then the next day I tried lowering the rear glass down & that won’t work either any ideas ?
