Freelander 1 rear window issue

Hi guys and girls. Ive had a quick look but can't see what I'm after. Friend's Freelander has issue with window in rear door. Apparently it dropped and wouldnt go back up, they got it up somehow, now won't play at all. Not being au fait with Freelanders I said I would ask on here for perhaps/maybes and possible solutions.

Probably the wire that makes the window go up and down has snapped.
You need to take the plastic panel off and have a look, it's the only way.
